One hundred kilometers is a challenge. It is a challenge to the limits of your physical and mental endurance, a test of strength and overcoming weakness, training your character and proving your perseverance. Can you do it?!?

One of the most beautiful rivers in Latvia – Salaca – will come to your aid and give you strength. During these 100 kilometers you will see Lake Burtnieki, countless rock outcrops, majestic forests on the banks of the river, and at the finish you will be rewarded with a view of the Baltic Sea!

But if you are still not sure about 100 km, join us and test your strength in the 44 km distance. The start for each distance will be in its own place, but the finish and a proper SUP party will be in Salacgrīva, where the Salaca meets the Baltic Sea.

Early in the morning of May 30, the 100 km distance will start in Vecate – the place where the Salaca flows out of Lake Burtnieki. Your route will then wind through the forests and fields of Northern Vidzeme to the finish on the Baltic Sea coast. In Salacgrīva, you will be greeted by fans and a well-deserved marathon medal.

Every 20-30 kilometers along the riverbanks, you will see “Kings’ Settlements”. There you will have the opportunity to hug the local king, regain energy and lie down “on your backside” before heading to the next section of the river to enjoy its current.

This marathon is for everyone who is physically active in their daily lives and is ready for a challenge. For some of us, it will be important to finish first, for some with friends, and for others – to reach the finish line within the control time. But for everyone, it will be an opportunity to make sure that they can call themselves the SUP king or queen.
